Hi, I'm Tobias Eckerlin

I'm a CG Generalist with a great interest in lighting and cinematography. I enjoy the process of staging stories, concepts, and content. I'm obsessed with lighting and I love to define the look and feel, the layout, the camera and lighting the most. Besides that, I also like to work with real cameras [motion and photography - sometimes analog] and real light. I love story driven visuals with moody atmosphere and an organic feeling, that's what I aim for.

Born in 1993, my actual journey started 2010 when I bought my first DSLR. I really came into photography and decided to study communication design in 2012. During this time I started freelancing and focused more on film and finally 3D.

I finished my Master of Arts in WS 2017/2018. Right after that, I started as an instructor for photography at the DIPLOMA University of Applied Sciences until 2021. In September 2021 I started the project-based study at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and their Animationinstitut to develop my skills furthermore.

Since 2017 I have been working as a cg-generalist and continued my freelance work in this industry.
