-personal project-
A skull study I did while learning Zbrush with the Artstation Learning course by Michael Pavlovich. It was not my first time with Zbrush but my first time sculpting something from scratch without a base mesh.
I made some quick light tests [the red renderings] and super basic shading in Octane to see how the skull and the details work [raw mesh, without textures].
After I finished the skull, I decided to quickly go through the full process to understand the pipeline.
I made an auto-retopo with zRemesher, UVed the “low res” Version in Rizom UV by hand [pretty rough, but following basic rules], re-projected the details in Zbrush and brought the whole thing in Substance Painter. After I made the textures I went back into Cinema 4D and Octane and worked on a more advanced shader to match the references I used during the sculpting process.
